This uranium glass 'flute' vase, crafted in Poland between 1910 and 1920, embodies the interplay of form and light so characteristic of Art Nouveau. Its slender silhouette is accentuated by elongated vertical fluting and a gently flared, multifaceted rim, which seamlessly transitions into a star-shaped base with organic, petal-like protrusions. The uranium glass displays a luminous light yellow-green hue, deepest at the base and gradually fading to near translucence at the top. A high-gloss, polished surface enhances the clarity and radiance of the glass, while the vase’s hand-blown and hand-cut execution is evident in the seamless transitions and the absence of visible joints or mold marks.
