This ceramic Foo Dog (Chinese Lion) figurine was crafted in China during the 1970s. Fashioned from glazed ceramic, the piece features a cohesive, deeply cobalt blue color with a cool turquoise undertone. The entire surface is finished with a uniform, glossy glaze that accentuates the carefully rendered relief details—most notably along the mane, tail, and chest, where stylized curls and flowing, symmetrical lines evoke classical Chinese decorative motifs. The dog is depicted seated upright on a square pedestal, itself embellished with geometric relief patterns.
