ABOUT PRODUCTID 9432
The freestanding desk, model 77, produced by Danish manufacturer Omann Jun in the 1960s, stands as a testament to Scandinavian mid-century modern craftsmanship. Constructed entirely from rosewood, the desk features a striking natural grain in deep, warm brown tones, with lighter and darker streaks that lend a sense of depth and movement. Its distinctive double-sided design offers, on one side, two columns of three drawers each with sculpted, integrated wooden handles, while the reverse provides two open shelves for books and a bar compartment. The desk is supported by four straight, square legs, and the semi-matte finish enhances both the tactile quality and the visual clarity of the wood. The knee hole measures 64 cm in width, ensuring ample workspace. No visible hardware interrupts the clean lines, aside from discreet locks on the top drawers; precise joinery and smooth surfaces underscore the quality of execution. Fully restored by skilled cabinetmakers—stripped, stained with rosewood dye, and sealed with a durable semi-matte lacquer
