This early 20th-century WMF fruit basket exemplifies the spirit of the Jugendstil, uniting refined craftsmanship with decorative artistry. Crafted from silver-plated brass, the piece displays a cool, silvery hue with patches of patina in blue, brown, and gray, lending an iridescent and varied texture that shifts from glossy to matte. The wide, shallow bowl is crowned by a tall, gracefully arched handle, each element adorned with intricate openwork friezes of flowing vegetal lines and stylized ribbons and floral motifs typical of Art Nouveau.
