This vintage Persian Ghom rug, handwoven in Iran in the early 20th century, features fine wool pile on a cotton foundation. Its low, dense pile measures approximately 10 mm in thickness, with a weaving density of about 300,000 knots/m2, reflecting the high level of craftsmanship typical of Ghom workshops. The main color is a warm, muted beige with a subtle reddish undertone, complemented by accents of pale blue, coral red, and cream. The central field displays a classic paisley (boteh) motif arranged in rhythmic repetition, surrounded by multiple borders with floral and vine patterns; the main border is a light blue adorned with coral and navy stylized flowers, while the outermost border is coral red. The edges are neatly finished, and the composition is harmonious and balanced.
