ABOUT PRODUCTID 4017
This slotted pickle spoon was crafted in the 1920s by the Br. Henneberg manufactory in Warsaw. Made from white brass, silver-plated and gilded, it combines utility with decorative value. The bowl, shaped as a grape leaf, features a satin golden sheen, detailed veining, and small, evenly spaced draining holes. The handle, inspired by intertwined vine stems and leaves, is executed in the Art Nouveau style, its silvery matte finish contrasting with the golden bowl. The piece is defined by balanced proportions—a wide, deep bowl and a solid, sculptural handle—while the visible maker’s mark attests to its authenticity. The shape of this spoon evokes the atmosphere of family gatherings and stories hidden in objects from the past. The gilded bowl catches and reflects light in a way that recalls the shimmer of a summer afternoon, while the flowing lines of the handle suggest a sense of gentle movement, as if nature has been captured in metal. Organic details transform the piece from a mere utensil into a quiet witness of an era and a testament to Polish craftsmanship. This spoon may be displayed as a highlight in a cabinet or used during special meals. It pairs well with porcelain tableware, crystal vessels, or classic silver. It can be combined with table linens in natural, muted colors to enhance the metal’s luster and texture. Warm-toned lighting and complementary wood or glass accessories will complete the arrangement, lending the space a refined, historical ambiance.
