ABOUT PRODUCTID 42679
The 'Klamra' glass holder from the Bracia Henneberg manufactory in Warsaw stands as a testament to Polish craftsmanship of the 1930s, crafted according to a 19th-century design. Its simple, geometric silhouette is built upon a cylindrical, silver-plated brass body, complemented by a distinctive rectangular handle with sharp, angular lines. The subtly textured main segment contrasts with the smooth, reflective finish of the base and interior. A raised, stylized clasp motif on the body provides the only decorative accent, maintaining the minimalist, functional character of the piece. The 'Depose' mark and pattern number stamped on the side confirm its authenticity and the French origins of the design. The holder is preserved in very good condition, free from damage, with only a delicate surface patina consistent with its age. This modest object embodies the spirit of interwar Warsaw and its fascination with utilitarian form. The 'Klamra' glass holder, drawing on 19th-century stylistic roots, speaks in the disciplined geometric language of Art Deco and early Modernism. Its matte, silvery surface reflects light with restraint, evoking a sense of pre-war elegance—as if inviting one to a quiet tea at a city salon, where every detail held meaning. The clasp motif, both symbolic and practical, hints at an era when everyday objects were equally a statement of refined taste. The holder can be paired with a classic, straight-walled glass or delicately faceted porcelain in the style of the 1930s, creating a sophisticated composition for a breakfast table or a traditional tea setting. It works equally well in a collector’s display cabinet or as a functional element in a kitchen or dining room inspired by Modernism or Art Deco. It is worth combining with other metal
