ABOUT PRODUCTID 23860
This cobalt blue goblet with gold decorations, crafted in early 20th-century Czechoslovakia and attributed to the renowned Moser manufactory, is made of cut and polished glass in a deep, cool cobalt hue. Its vertical faceting creates a geometric structure, enhancing the interplay of light across its glossy surface. The bowl is adorned with meticulously applied gilding: a garland motif encircles the lower portion, while the main scene depicts a lady and gentleman in period attire engaged in conversation over tea, accompanied by a small dog and a table with a statuette. This narrative decoration is rendered in a neoclassical style inspired by the Biedermeier era. The goblet’s proportions are balanced—a cylindrical bowl rests on a sturdy, well-shaped stem. The cobalt glass recalls the depth of tradition, while the gilded vignette on the bowl offers a snapshot of a bygone era—full of courtesy, detail, and poise. It seems to whisper of times when every gesture held meaning, and light refracted through cut glass shaped the ambience of conversation. In interior arrangements, the goblet may be paired with other Biedermeier or neoclassical glassware to create a curated display on a sideboard or within a vitrined cabinet. It also works as a singular accent on the table for
