This guilloché snuff box from Vienna, dated February 7, 1882, exemplifies late 19th-century craftsmanship in silver-plated brass. The compact rectangular form (6.5 x 4 x 2 cm) features softly rounded edges and a hinged lid. The cover is decorated with intricate, wavy guilloché engraving, while the central cartouche, engraved with the initials 'BA' and the date, is framed by symmetrical floral and rococo-inspired scrollwork. The silver finish is cool and matte, with a consistent patina and subtle warm undertones; raised decorative sections catch a gentle sheen. Minor surface scratches, small dents, and traces of use in the interior testify to its authentic age.
