ABOUT PRODUCTID 37591
This guilloché tray, crafted at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries in the Plewkiewicz manufactory in Warsaw, exemplifies the refined tradition of late-century Polish tableware. The rectangular form is defined by gently upturned edges and softly rounded corners, executed in silver-plated brass. The central field features a precise guilloché pattern with a geometric structure and a pronounced oval medallion at its heart—a detail that attests to the artisanal precision of its creation. A cool, silvery hue and high-gloss reflective finish create an impression of purity and luminosity, while the smooth border contrasts with the fine, tactile texture of the guilloché. Minimalist in decorative approach, the tray’s subtle lines and restrained ornamentation place it at the intersection of late Art Nouveau and early modernist influences. The craftsmanship is meticulous, with seamless joints and no visible marks, and the tray remains in very good condition, free from visible damage, dents, or significant wear. This tray carries the quiet voice of Warsaw salons at the close of the 19th century—an era when everyday objects became vehicles for discreet elegance and gentle representation. The guilloché motif, scattering light in delicate reflections, speaks of an era attentive to ritual and detail, where even the simplest gesture at the table was imbued with significance. Its cool metallic sheen and balanced decoration embody the transition between epochs:
