This handmade Moroccan rug from Oued Zam (160 x 240 cm) is crafted from thick, natural wool. The surface has a matte finish, with a plush, dense pile and visible hand-knotting that underscore its artisanal construction. The primary tone is a warm ivory with a subtle yellowish hue; on this base, bold, irregular black geometric lines form an abstract pattern inspired by Berber tradition. Each line is hand-drawn, introducing subtle variations in thickness and flow. Short fringes in matching ivory complete the design, adding a signature finish typical of Oued Zam craftsmanship. The rug’s pattern draws from the vocabulary of contemporary Berber design—geometric lines evoke spontaneous sketch-like gestures, balancing order with freedom.
