This handwoven rug, measuring 200 × 300 cm, is crafted from high-quality wool on a cotton base. Its structure is distinctly substantial, with a slightly irregular, matte surface characteristic of Moroccan artisanal weaving. The composition is defined by a deep, saturated red dominating the center and right side, contrasted with bold vertical stripes in black and off-white on the left. Two smaller horizontal accents echo this motif in the upper section, while short, natural fringes finish the edges. The balanced proportions and geometric rhythm reference mid-century modern and Bauhaus traditions, retaining the contemporary identity of a Berber rug. The monumental red and graphic contrasts evoke a sense of movement, tempered by the calm texture of thick pile. Each line and color field seems to set its own order—like an abstract map for modern interiors. The handwoven technique leaves subtle traces of the maker’s craft, highlighting the unique, authorial character of the piece.
