This handwoven wool rug, measuring 250 × 150 cm, is a contemporary interpretation of Berber craftsmanship from the Midelt region in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains. The construction features densely woven fibers without additional backing, emphasizing the raw quality of the material. The geometric pattern is built on blocks of color: a warm ivory forms the neutral base, contrasted by deep cobalt, mustard yellow, burnt orange, and powder pink accents. The surface is matte, with a thick, springy pile. The edges are finished with a simple, braided border in natural wool tones, and visible handwork gives each piece a distinct character. The rug’s form evokes the landscapes of the Atlas, with rhythmic color fields arranged in a composition that balances dynamism and restraint.
