This handmade pure wool rug, measuring 150 x 250 cm, is crafted in Morocco’s Ouadzem region using thick, densely woven wool for a plush yet robust construction. The design features bold color blocking: a dominant, muted warm pink covers most of the surface, contrasted by a deep blue section in the upper left and olive green at the base. A dynamic, irregular zigzag in off-white runs diagonally across the rug, animating the composition. The matte, soft finish and hand-tied fringes in natural beige and blue tones highlight the artisanal, one-of-a-kind character of the piece. Visible handwork in the knots and fringes emphasizes the authenticity and tactile richness of the rug. The form draws inspiration from the abstract visual language of the 1950s and 1960s, merging geometric confidence with the inherent softness of wool.
