This handwoven rug measures 100 × 200 cm and is crafted from natural wool, featuring a dense, matte pile that highlights its artisanal character. The composition centers on an intense cobalt blue contrasted with crisp white: a central blue field with stepped, irregular edges is bordered by a wide white band and finished with a blue frame. The short ends are completed with hand-knotted fringes made from undyed wool. The compact, even weave and pronounced fiber structure result from traditional techniques passed down through generations in the Midelt region of the Atlas Mountains. The entire piece maintains a distinct graphic rhythm and organic texture, free from chemical finishes. The rug’s visual language bridges contemporary simplicity and the symbolism of Berber tradition.
