This handwoven Berber rug, measuring 100 x 200 cm, is crafted from natural wool on a cotton warp in a workshop in Midelt, Morocco. Its construction features a thick, shaggy pile with a matte finish, providing a soft underfoot texture and effective thermal insulation. The composition centers on a warm, creamy ivory base, animated by dynamic geometric blocks and stripes in saturated shades of red, deep blue, yellow, orange, and turquoise. The irregular, asymmetrical arrangement of patterns references the aesthetics of contemporary Berber carpets. Hand-knotted fringes, some accented with blue thread, complete the artisanal detailing. The vibrant color palette and densely packed knots highlight both the authenticity and durability of the textile.
