This handwoven Moroccan rug, measuring 100 x 200 cm, is crafted from thick, natural wool on a cotton warp. Its surface features bold, irregular fields of color: deep terracotta red, muted sky blue, sandy beige, and accents of dark green and cobalt blue. The bottom edge is finished with short, twisted cotton fringes. The weave is dense and clearly handmade, with a matte, plush texture typical of traditional Berber rugs inspired by mid-century modern and abstract art of the 1950s and 60s. The interplay of organic color blocks creates a visual rhythm between spontaneity and restraint. The rug communicates a balance of freedom and discipline—as if the composition were a record of intuitive gestures, captured on a warm, textured ground.
