This handwoven Moroccan Beni Ourain rug, sized 140 x 260 cm, is crafted from thick, natural wool, offering a plush and comfortable texture underfoot. Set on an ivory base, deep matte black accents form alternating sections of vertical stripes and checkerboard geometry. The pattern draws from both optical modernism and Berber tradition, while the matte surface reveals subtle irregularities of the hand-loomed weave. Simple, hand-knotted fringes at the edges and the visible tightness of the weave emphasize its artisanal origin. The rug suggests a balance between structural geometry and material softness.
