This handwoven rug, measuring 140 x 260 cm, originates from the Midelt region in Morocco and is crafted using traditional techniques passed down through generations. The dense, soft pile of natural wool with a matte finish serves as a backdrop for irregular blocks of color: deep cobalt, lemon yellow, burnt orange, terracotta, taupe, chocolate brown, turquoise, and fuchsia. Asymmetrically placed motifs form a graphic, abstract composition, while creamy white is accentuated by hand-tied, slightly uneven fringes. The cotton warp ensures structural durability, and the visible, subtly uneven lines attest to its artisanal origin.
