This traditional, handwoven Beni Ouraine rug from Morocco, measuring 140 x 260 cm, is crafted from natural wool and features a distinctive geometric pattern. Deep terracotta dominates the central and corner sections, while contrasting accents of black and ivory form graphic motifs—a checkerboard on one side, horizontal stripes on the other. The surface has a matte finish with a visibly thick, plush wool texture. Edges are finished with short, hand-knotted natural wool fringes. The rug’s construction reveals hand-weaving techniques, with subtle irregularities and robust craftsmanship characteristic of mid-20th-century Berber tradition.
