This handwoven pure wool rug (150 x 250 cm) originates from Ouadzem, Morocco, crafted using traditional Berber techniques. Its construction features a thick, soft wool pile with a matte finish and a distinctly artisanal texture. The composition is built on a creamy ivory background, traversed centrally by a bold cobalt blue stripe ending in a black rectangle at the upper section. A wide horizontal band in gradients of green and turquoise accents the top edge, while short, irregular fringes finish one end. The robust weave and visible hand-knotting highlight the craft quality, and the proportions (150 x 250 cm) suit medium to larger interiors. The design speaks in the language of minimalist geometry, where each color and line is precisely placed. The interplay of cobalt and black on a warm ground suggests a tension between calm and decisiveness, with the turquoise gradient introducing a note of freshness.
