This handwoven Berber rug, sized 150 x 250 cm, is crafted in Morocco from natural wool, resulting in a robust and distinctive composition. The base features a warm ivory shade with a creamy undertone, evenly traversed by geometric cobalt blue lines. Diamond and zigzag motifs, characteristic of traditional Berber patterns, are boldly articulated. The edges are finished with zigzag blue borders, while each short end is adorned with hand-knotted wool fringes, some interlaced with blue threads. The surface is plush and thick, with a matte finish that accentuates the natural texture of the wool, and subtle irregularities reveal its artisanal nature.
