This handwoven Berber rug, measuring 150 x 250 cm, is crafted in Morocco from pure wool. The construction features a dense, thick pile for a soft touch and substantial presence. The base color is a deep, matte burgundy, complemented by a geometric pattern of large, softly edged squares in terracotta and clay tones, arranged in three rows and columns. Smaller squares in matching hues separate the larger fields, forming a clear and consistent grid. One edge is finished with a short, natural fringe that highlights its artisanal origin. The rug’s visual language is based on reduction and rhythm—geometric motifs evoke a dialogue with 1950s abstraction, where simplicity becomes expressive.
