This handwoven Berber rug, measuring 150 x 250 cm, is crafted from pure natural wool using traditional techniques from the Ouadzem region in Morocco. The geometric composition consists of bold, angular lines converging toward the center, creating a dynamic and symmetrical visual structure. The dominant warm ivory background is accented by stripes of deep black, vibrant cobalt, muted pink, and subdued red. The surface is thick and plush, with a slightly irregular handwoven texture. Simple, hand-knotted fringes finish the edges, while the robust construction reveals the marks of artisanal craftsmanship. The rug expresses a balance between tradition and a contemporary graphic language. The matte finish of natural wool, combined with a vivid yet harmonious color palette, evokes an interplay of desert light and shadow.
