This handwoven Beni Ouraine rug, measuring 150 × 250 cm, is crafted in Ouadzem, Morocco from thick, natural wool. The composition is anchored by a creamy ivory background, featuring an asymmetrical geometric arrangement: a central terracotta-toned shape, a smaller lavender-purple area topped with blue, and a black rectangle, all outlined by bold, irregular black lines. The rug’s matte, substantial texture highlights its artisanal origins, complemented by hand-knotted fringes with a subtle black-and-white woven detail at the lower edge. The pattern draws on mid-century modern and abstract art influences, while remaining deeply connected to Berber weaving traditions.
