The Beni Mrirt rug, measuring 150 x 250 cm, represents contemporary Berber craftsmanship, handwoven from high-quality natural wool. Its composition is based on expressive color blocks: the upper section features saturated burnt orange, transitioning into deep ochre and golden yellow in the lower half. Geometric vertical and horizontal stripes in navy blue and ivory introduce graphic rhythm and dynamic contrasts. The plush, matte surface emphasizes the natural wool texture, while the edges are finished with hand-knotted fringes. Construction relies on a dense, thick weave with a tactile, slightly irregular handfeel, characteristic of artisanal weaving. Precise joins and robust execution are clearly visible. The design speaks the language of modern geometry, rooted in both Berber tradition and the aesthetics of mid-century modern and Bauhaus.
