This handmade Beni Mrirt rug in the size of 150 × 250 cm represents contemporary Moroccan craftsmanship, where Berber motifs are interpreted through a minimalist lens. The construction features densely woven, thick wool with a matte, slightly shaggy finish, ensuring both solidity and a soft texture underfoot. Large diamond shapes appear in vertical rows across a creamy background, woven from yarns in deep brown, olive green, mustard yellow, burnt orange, blush pink, charcoal black, and muted grey. The multicolour palette balances earthy and vibrant tones without dominating the space. Hand-knotted fringes finish the edges, while visible weaving details highlight the authenticity of the artisanal process. The rug’s form communicates a respect for tradition and an openness to modernity.
