This handwoven wool rug, measuring 150 × 250 cm, features a multi-hued geometric composition inspired by Berber tradition and twentieth-century art. Warm ochre and orange form the base, complemented by deep green, black, cream, purple, magenta, and mustard yellow. The design is defined by bold rectangular blocks, diagonal lines, and a striking black-and-cream checkerboard motif. The thick, matte pile displays a visible, soft texture and a dense, even weave. A narrow purple border frames the sides, while natural wool fringes finish the shorter edges. Each rug is crafted in Ouadzem, Morocco, resulting in a unique piece shaped by artisan expertise. The strong, abstract geometry recalls the language of modern applied arts, while maintaining the authentic presence of natural materials. The rug evokes a sense of energy and creative freedom, balancing traditional craftsmanship with the visual pulse of modernism.
