This traditional Berber rug, measuring 150 × 250 cm, is handwoven from natural wool in the Ouadzem region of Morocco. The thick, soft pile features large, asymmetrical blocks of color – deep green, mustard yellow, rich red, navy blue, and off-white. The matte finish enhances the natural wool texture, while short fringes in undyed tones add a rustic touch. The pattern draws inspiration from Berber artistry and 1960s modernist abstraction, resulting in a geometric composition aligned with Bauhaus aesthetics. Each piece is the outcome of several days of artisanal work, with visible hand-knotting and robust finishing.
