This handcrafted Berber rug, sized 150 x 250 cm, is woven from thick, pure wool using traditional techniques handed down in the Ouadzem region of Morocco. The upper section features a deep turquoise field with a repeating pattern of ivory diamond motifs; below, a terracotta geometric block creates a strong central accent, while the lower part transitions into horizontal stripes in olive green and muted yellow. Short, delicate fringes finish the bottom edge, and the matte surface highlights the natural texture of the wool fibers. Slight irregularities in the weave reveal the authentic, artisanal character of the piece, which merges contemporary geometric abstraction with classic Berber motifs. The rhythmic color transitions and graphic contrasts evoke a sense of landscape—the design is a visual record of movement and light. Geometric forms and a bold palette express both a grounding in tradition and an openness to modernity. The rug feels soft yet resilient underfoot, introducing tactile comfort to everyday rituals.
