This handwoven rug from the Midelt region of Morocco (150 × 250 cm) is crafted entirely from natural wool using traditional Berber techniques. The design builds on geometric contrast: a warm ochre background is intersected by two bold, vertical stripes in deep purple, while asymmetrically placed horizontal white bars along the edges create a graphic rhythm. The rug’s surface is matte, with a dense, robust pile, and the shorter edges are finished with hand-tied fringes of undyed wool.
