This handmade Berber carpet from the Beni Mrirt region of Morocco is crafted from high-quality, dense wool with a soft, matte surface. The striking pattern draws on geometric motifs—a central vertical and horizontal cross in amber and rust tones cuts across an ivory background, while a subtle, embossed square labyrinth accents one quadrant. The edges are finished with short, hand-knotted fringes in natural wool. The weave is slightly irregular, highlighting its artisanal nature. The proportions (150 x 250 cm) ensure a clear composition, while the fluid transition of colours—from clay and grey to warm amber and cream—creates a harmonious visual structure.
