This handwoven Berber rug from Morocco (150 x 250 cm) is crafted from thick, natural wool, resulting in a distinct structure and visibly organic surface texture. The main color is a matte, earthy ochre, contrasted by two irregular, vertical stripes in deep, almost black purple. Short, asymmetrical lines in light gray and off-white appear near the edges and corners. One side features light gray wool fringes, emphasizing the artisanal character of the piece. The rug is woven on traditional looms, blending Berber motifs with a minimalist approach to pattern and form. The composition establishes a sense of graphic precision and freedom, as if the central stripes set a rhythm while the short lines introduce subtle disruptions.
