This handwoven Berber rug, measuring 150 × 250 cm, is crafted from natural wool, likely on a cotton warp, in the Moroccan town of Ouadzem. Its construction is defined by a bold geometric contrast—a warm, medium-saturated yellow field with a subtly uneven, organic texture, framed by a wide border of deep black. One short edge is finished with a row of cream wool fringes, underscoring the artisanal nature of the piece. The surface is matte and plush, with a dense, hand-knotted weave marked by subtle irregularities that reveal its handcrafted origin. The rug’s proportions balance striking modern geometry with traditional Berber weaving techniques.
