This handwoven rug, measuring 160 x 250 cm, is crafted in Ouadzem using pure natural wool on a cotton foundation, following Berber tradition. The construction features thick, soft wool yarn arranged in a geometric grid pattern. Deep navy rectangular blocks are set in vertical and horizontal rows against a warm ivory and beige background. The surface is matte, with a tactile texture and a plush, dense pile. Short fringes in the same ivory tone finish the edges. Subtle irregularities in the grid lines and slight asymmetry highlight the artisanal, authentic nature of the piece. The design, inspired by Berber art and mid-century modern aesthetics, communicates simplicity and silent strength. The strong contrast of navy against natural tones brings a clear structure to the space while remaining restrained.
