This handwoven rug, crafted from pure wool and measuring 200 x 300 cm, features a flatweave construction reminiscent of kilim or tapestry techniques. The composition is defined by bold geometric forms and color blocks in earthy orange, deep green, mustard yellow, dark navy, and a beige or cream background. The rug’s surface presents a matte finish with a subtly coarse, robust texture characteristic of handspun wool. Edges are finished with short, hand-knotted fringes in a natural wool tone. The even, visible weave and absence of pile emphasize the rug’s functionality and durability. The form draws inspiration from abstract and mid-century modern design of the 1960s and 1970s, where asymmetrical shapes and dynamic lines evoke associations with contemporary applied art.
