This handwoven rug, measuring 200 × 300 cm, is crafted in Morocco’s Ouadzem region as a contemporary interpretation of traditional Berber textile art. The primary field is a soft, matte ivory with a subtle creamy hue, accentuated by two irregular geometric shapes in deep, saturated burgundy. The wool fibers form a dense, plush texture, offering tangible softness underfoot and effective thermal insulation. Short, natural fringes edge the rug, while handwoven details are visible in both the weave and finishing. The overall form is robust, yet the proportions and minimalist pattern express a balanced, modern character. The rhythm of abstract shapes on the pale background references Berber symbolism, presented in a simplified, modernist language.
