This traditional Berber rug, measuring 200 x 300 cm, is handwoven in Morocco’s Ouadzem region from natural wool. The design features a warm, creamy ivory background with two bold, vertical geometric forms: one in cobalt blue and the other in deep golden yellow. Above the blue shape, an abstract, angular accent appears in charcoal black. The rug’s thick, matte pile ensures a soft, substantial texture, while the short, hand-knotted fringes highlight its artisanal heritage. The colour fields are evenly saturated, contrasted by the undyed natural wool ground, and the overall design draws on abstract art and mid-century modern influences. The rug speaks in the visual language of contemporary Berber artistry, where pared-down forms meet striking colour.
