Handwoven in Oued Zam, this Berber rug blends traditional craftsmanship with a modernist aesthetic. Its foundation is thick, natural wool, giving the piece a dense, comfortable structure. The matte finish highlights the soft, slightly uneven texture characteristic of artisanal weaving. A warm beige base with a subtle yellow undertone sets the background for a striking composition: vertical geometric blocks in cobalt blue, olive green, taupe-grey, and burgundy red on one side, and three parallel ochre-orange lines on the other. Short fringes and a narrow burgundy stripe along the bottom edge accentuate the finishing details. The rug measures 200 × 300 cm. The design conveys a sense of calm paired with visual clarity—abstract forms and clean lines reference mid-century modernism while remaining grounded in Berber heritage.
