This handwoven rug from the Midelt region of Morocco, measuring 200 × 300 cm, is crafted from thick natural wool with a touch of cotton. Its structure is based on traditional Berber techniques, evident in the slightly irregular weave and hand-tied fringes. The primary color is a matte mustard yellow, framed by a wide border in stone grey. At the center, a single geometric star motif appears in shades of ivory and grey, enhanced by amber and white accents. The plush, dense pile and soft surface highlight the artisanal construction, while the proportions and layout of the pattern remain visually balanced. The rug evokes a dialogue between contemporary design and tradition – its patterns and palette reference desert landscapes and Berber tribal symbolism.
