This handwoven Moroccan rug, measuring 200 × 300 cm, is crafted from natural wool on a cotton warp, following the Berber tradition of the Midelt region. The light cream base serves as a backdrop for vertical and rectangular color blocks: cobalt blue, golden yellow, bottle green, blush pink, deep red, beige, and subtle hints of light blue and olive. The arrangement is asymmetric and geometric, inspired by both mid-century modern abstraction and classical Berber motifs. The high, fluffy pile with a matte finish offers a soft underfoot texture, while hand-stitched blue edges and short, tied fringes emphasize the artisanal, handcrafted character. The construction reveals visible handwork—slight irregularities in the fiber layout and motifs ensure each rug is unique. Through its form and palette, the rug conveys the energy of its origin.
