This handmade Moroccan rug, measuring 200 × 300 cm, is crafted from natural wool on a cotton warp and features a bold, color-block composition. The main color fields—burnt orange and cool aqua green—are arranged in large, geometric, asymmetrical shapes, separated and outlined by deep, matte black, which also appears as irregular, abstract lines throughout. A muted pink accent at the top edge and short, hand-knotted white fringes add subtle detail, while the thick, plush surface reflects the handwoven character of the piece. The overall style is contemporary, referencing mid-century modernism and abstract art of the 1950s and 60s. The rug’s form creates a visual dialogue between artisanal tradition and contemporary color composition.
