The Mrirt rug, measuring 200 x 300 cm, is a handwoven contemporary example of traditional Berber craftsmanship from the Midelt region of the Atlas Mountains. It features a minimalist composition built on bold color blocks—warm, matte terracotta dominates the upper portion, while the lower section is rendered in pale ivory with a hint of gray. The border between these fields is defined by a clean, geometric line, finished with a row of hand-knotted ivory fringes. The structure consists of densely woven, plush wool, offering substantial thickness and softness for everyday comfort. The surface has a matte, subtly varied texture, emphasizing its artisanal character. The clear two-tone composition creates a sense of order and visual equilibrium.
