This handwoven rug, measuring 250 × 150 cm, is crafted in Morocco’s Midelt region, where Berber weaving traditions are translated into a precise, robust structure. Made from natural wool, it features a dense, springy pile with a matte finish. The main color is warm ivory, accented by subtle touches of pastel pink, clay, amber, and grey, appearing in thin, hand-drawn lines that form a geometric diamond pattern. The intersecting lines are intentionally irregular, emphasizing the artisanal nature of the piece, while the edges are finished with short, twisted fringes in the same shade as the background. The rhythm of intersecting lines and the soft, slightly uneven surface evoke the slow ritual of weaving and the tranquility of desert landscapes.
