This handwoven rug from the Midelt region of Morocco measures approximately 250 × 150 cm and is crafted from natural wool and cotton. The structure features a dense, matte pile with a tactile, irregular texture that reflects the authenticity of traditional craftsmanship. A creamy background hosts a large mustard yellow rectangular block at the top and a dynamic arrangement of irregular black dots below. The shorter edges are finished with hand-tied fringes, while the palette is limited to three tones: cream, yellow, and black. The composition merges Berber motifs with a modern geometric sensibility, emphasizing the weave’s visible structure and balanced proportions. The pattern echoes classic Berber storytelling, with lines and dots forming a clear yet abstract landscape rhythm.
