This handwoven Moroccan Berber rug, approximately 250 × 150 cm, is crafted from natural wool on a cotton warp. The main section is rendered in burgundy red, blending into bands of ochre, mustard yellow, and burnt orange to create a gradient reminiscent of a sunset. Geometric and abstract motifs in ivory, cream, and beige are punctuated by accents of cobalt blue, green, and orange. The structure features a thick, plush pile with a matte finish and a slightly irregular, artisanal weave. The lower edge is finished with short natural wool fringes, while the sides are neatly bound. Visible warp and weft lines underscore its durability and authentic craftsmanship. The rug evokes the mood of southern Morocco—its colors and asymmetry tell a story inspired by modernism and abstract expressionism.
