ABOUT PRODUCTID 4499
This Hanukkah lamp (chanukiah), crafted in Poland between 1890 and 1920, exemplifies Jewish ceremonial brasswork with an emphasis on tradition and historicist symbolism. The structure is elongated, supported at the front by two turned legs and at the back by flat feet for stability and a subtle elevation of form. The decorative backplate features two heraldic lions in mirrored stance, flanking a crowned medallion with a menorah and floral motif—elements rendered in a late historicist, Empire-inspired manner typical of Jewish sacred art from the era. The front edge of the base is adorned with a geometric openwork frieze, while at each side, wide drip trays for candles
