ABOUT PRODUCTID 3674
This highboard, designed by Johannes Andersen and produced by Skaaning Furniture in Denmark during the 1960s, exemplifies the hallmarks of mid-century modern design. Standing on slender, tapered solid wood legs, the piece achieves a light and balanced profile in the tradition of Scandinavian modernism. The cabinet is clad in rosewood veneer, presenting a deep, saturated brown hue with highly visible, organic wood grain patterns. Its geometric form is defined by clean, rectilinear lines and integrated square handles, reinforcing the minimalist aesthetic. The highboard provides five adjustable shelves and six capacious drawers, one of which contains a smaller compartment for added utility. Sliding doors facilitate access without demanding additional space, while a versatile bar area—featuring a mirrored interior and three fixed shelves—adds a functional, decorative touch. A pull-out tabletop further allows the piece to serve as a secretary or writing desk. Condition: recently restored surface,
