This antique meat skewer, dating from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, was likely crafted by a Warsaw manufacturer. Made from white metal and silver-plated, it displays a cool, silvery tone enhanced by a subtle patina that highlights its age. The skewer’s surface is smooth and gently matte, offering a refined, understated sheen. The handle is crowned by a three-dimensional wild boar figure, rendered with remarkable naturalistic detail characteristic of late nineteenth-century hunting motifs. The boar sits atop a decorative, triangular base with ornate scrollwork. The straight shaft, tapering to a sharp point, measures 18 cm in length and is designed for piercing and serving roasted meats.
