ABOUT PRODUCTID 10902
This spherical ikebana vase, designed by Ove Fritz Rasmussen for Båtabacken Keramik in Sweden during the 1960s, is crafted from stoneware and features a deep, cool green glaze with a high-gloss finish that lends a vibrant, light-reflective surface. Irregular, organic streaks of mint-green glaze cascade from the rim, evoking the look of mineral deposits or flowing water. The upper half is punctuated by evenly spaced circular holes intended for arranging flower stems, while a subtle horizontal ribbed band encircles the widest point, providing both tactile and visual contrast. The base remains unglazed, revealing the natural, slightly coarse stoneware texture in a warm brown shade. The vase measures 8 cm in both height and width. Preserved in excellent condition with the original manufacturer’s label intact—no chips, cracks, or signs of wear.
